DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – The Fox NASCAR broadcast team was not ready as the race took the green flag for the season-opening Daytona 500 because they did not expect the race to actually start on time. “We’ve gotten so used to rain delays, we just took Sunday off waiting for the race to go green on Monday,” said the broadcast manager, “We had to rush away from the hotel pool to turn the computers on and warm up the truck, but I think we did an okay job?”
