DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – IMSA, sportscar racing sanctioning body, is changing it’s corporate name to BETA. “It’s about being far below NASCAR and Indycar, and probably NHRA, World of Outlaws, and maybe a couple others, in the grand scheme of things,” said Vice President of Marketing, David Pettit, “So now we move from IMSA to BETA.”

The WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge, and Prototype Challenge will not see any branding changes other than the preceding ‘BETA’ replacing ‘IMSA’. The final BETA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship race of the season kicks off in 11 daysfrom Road Atlanta.
