BISHOP, California – Inspired by the upcoming Janet Guthrie Netflix feature-film, former racer Stanton Barrett is set to play himself in a self-produced bio-pic “Stanton Barrett: The Stanton Barrett Story“. The driver who averaged a 29th finishing position in four Indy Racing League races, said his journey to the big leagues of racing were similar to Guthrie’s minus the talent part. “She is an inspiration to many and I see a lot of myself in her,” said Stanton, “and while I couldn’t find a Hiliary Swank-level actor to play me, I think you’ll find a lot of similarities in the quality and storylines of the films.”

“I’m looking forward to filming some IRL scenes like the time I won the Indy 500 or the time Buddy Rice asked me for some tips to get around the famed-IMS circuit.”
