BRISTOL, Tennessee – After massive budget cuts caused by the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic left Bristol Motor Speedway with a single janitor for the NASCAR stadium, he says he can’t wait for this race to be over so he can clean it up. “It’s going to be great,” said Mark Wiggins, 25 year janitorial vet at Bristol, through gritted teeth while looking at the ground, “they gave me a new mop at the start of this year as preparation for 500 tons of dirt to be dumps on the track, so after the race today, I’ll get started. Should have it ready for September.”
