SPEEDWAY, Indiana – Hyundai is the latest manufacturer to face a budget crunch in 2020 after spending all available funds purchasing the Micheling Pilot Challenge Series.  “Look, it’s not cheap to fund a four-car factory effort in a series that prohibits factory teams. It’s REALLY not cheap to then add salaries for: an IndyCar driver, Rolex 24 Prototype winner, high level GT driver, and an IndyLights guy to be in the cars and then purchase the series we compete in outright. Hell, having to pay off the college a driver goes to so he doesn’t have to focus on his studies to race ain’t cheap either” said Michael Stewart, Hyundai’s Spokesman.

We’re sorry for our customer teams who purchased the Veloster N GT4, I mean TCR, but the business is struggling right now, I hope they understand, but we are here for them. On to 2021!”
