WHANGANUI, New Zealand – In shock news Earl Bamber, driver/owner for Earl Bamber Motorsport, has been dropped from his team after it came to light the Porsche factory driver hired Laurens Vanthoor to drive for him during the recent eSports sim racing competitions.  “We have no time for these kind of schenanigans, especially with something so serious as a sim race” said team owner Earl Bamber, “What I did by hiring Laurens [Vanthoor] as a ghost driver is completely unacceptable so the punishment will fit the crime.  Effective immediately I am dropping myself from my team – in all roles.”

This is just the latest controversy to come from sim racing proving that video games are, in fact, dangerous.
