INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Indycar, the up and coming American openwheel series, has accepted an invitation to be the support series for SRO’s world-renown Intercontinental GT Challenge when the endurance GT3 series hosts an 8-hour event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October.  “I was excited when Stephane Ratel gave me a call and invited our little series to join their show,” said Roger Penske, newly-named Indycar series owner, “It’s a great opportunity for us to show off our championship in front of the fans, especially at a place as historic as IMS.”

Penske confirmed they are also talking with Trans Am about getting on their bill when the pony-car series visits Brainerd.
