SEBRING, Florida – With the debut of the 2020 Corvette C8.R racer at Daytona in just a few weeks, the mid-engine machine is also being prepped for a run at both races at Sebring – the 12 Hour IMSA race and fake WEC race.  “We’re excited for this new car and what it can do,” said Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing Program Manager, “I think we can win Daytona, but we also have some more miles we need to put on the car, so we’re looking at running the real race at Sebring and test the car during the fake race at Sebring as well.”

Fehan also confirmed that the car performs, looks, and sounds so much better than any of the front engine crap they’ve been racing with over the last 20 years and wonders why Corvette didn’t make this change sooner.
