SHANGHAI, China – After Rebellion Racing took the LMP1 class and overall victory in Shanghai, China, the WEC technical team was happy with how the balance of the class has progressed.  “As you can see, Toyota did not win, so you can tell right there it’s work,” said WEC Technical Chief Vincent Caron, “All it took was to give the other LMP1 cars a 30 MPH advantage in straight line speed, 100kg lighter cars, and way more fuel capacity.  We’re happy with how it’s working.”

The WEC tech team is looking forward to seeing if they can get a GTE car on the overall podium at their next round which is scheduled to take place at some track, maybe.
