AUSTIN, Texas – A mid-season change from SRO America allowing teams to use tire warmers, both blankets and ovens, confused the team manager for one team as they put a new Pirelli in the oven to warm it for an upcoming test session.  “As directed, I preheated the temp to 400*F, popped the tire in for 30 minutes, which seemed excessive, and the thing came out medium well! I needed medium rare for Watkins Glen!” exclaimed the team manager.

It was later determined that the team manager was looking at the cooking instructions for Emeril Lagasse’s Roast Duck and not the Chicken Hawk Racing, maker of motorsport tire blankets and ovens, instruction manual.
