LONG POND, Pennsylvania- Responding to criticism that he was responsible for a first lap crash at Pocono, Takuma Sato assured the media that Takuma Sato was not responsible. Sato defended Sato even after being shown a replay of the crash that reminded some of what happened to Robert Wickens one year ago, “Takuma was just racing. He believed he was clear and thinks the cars next to him moved up the track, and Takuma is confident that if there is an issue IndyCar will take it up with Takuma.”

When asked if Sato was blind or delusional, Sato said he could not comment on Sato’s eye sight or mental well being but added he might just be an idiot.
