WOKING, England – McLaren, who infamously missed the cut for the 2019 Indianapolis 500, announced today they will be joining the NTT Indycar series grid full time in 2020 after forming a partnership with Arrow SPM, another team who missed the 2018 Indy 500 and nearly missed out in 2019. “It’s a match made in heaven,” said Arrow SPM manager Mark Tomlinson, “Two negatives make a positive, so we’re good to go.”
“Under deliver, over promise. That’s our motto,” said McLaren CEO Zak Browne, “something we always strive for. I think I got that right anyways.”
While driver lineups have not yet been confirmed, it is expected one of the drivers will have a big enough name that you’ve heard of him, but if and when they miss the cut for the 2020 Indy 500, it will not be that big of a deal this time around.
