NEWTON, Iowa — In a Lugg Nutt scoop, Mother Nature admitted to our site that it was her that caused the NTT IndyCar Series race at Iowa Speedway to go from a “twilight” night race to a true night race. “Yes, I didn’t want to deal with twice the amount of complaining than I would’ve if we let the race run as scheduled,” she said early this morning. “Plus, Lord knows we don’t want Ryan Hunter-Reay complaining again that it’s too hot for him to be in the top-10.”

She also said that the other reason for her rain delay, she wanted fans to be able to watch the IMSA race from Lime Rock Park, but, “that blew up in my face, because everyone complained that the race started too early, and that the channel didn’t personally tell them that the race was going to be shown then. See if I help them ever again.”

At press time, Mother Nature wasn’t sure if she wanted to make Mid-Ohio Mud-Ohio again, or if she wanted to show IMSA fans something to complain about with making it rain like no one has ever seen before at the next round in Elkhart Lake, WI.
