BOWMANVILLE, Ontario – Minutes after BMW’s Bill Auberlen took his 59th career IMSA victory, Scott Pruett, who holds the series record with 60 wins, took to social media to say how upset he was he never got the chance to win 69 races.  “I was everything to Chip, but then he got the Ford deal and I was pushed aside,” said the multi-time champion, “It was brutal after I left CGR. I got stuck with Paul Gentilozzi and never thought I’d see anything but lawyers in my future.  All I wanted was to get 69, nice, wins and hang up my helmet.  But it was never going to happen with that penny-pinching duffel bag as my team boss.”
