ENGLEWOOD, Colorado- Just two years after Liberty Media took the reins of Formula 1 buyer’s remorse has started to set in as the Formula 1 CEO has started to wonder what the hell Liberty Media got themselves into. Watching the end of the French Grand Prix, Chase Carey could only shake his head in disbelief and change the channel. “When Liberty first took control of F1 in 2017, 2016 had been a back and forth battle between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Few things are more entertaining than teammates going at it race after race to the point they stop speaking and can not stand being in the same room together,” said Carey while waxing his signature mustache in the mirror. “2017 had Mercedes and Ferrari challenging each other with Max Verstappen stepping up with a couple wins. 2018 had Vettel with a huge points lead and Hamilton coming back, but what the hell is this 2019 crap? Our only hope is getting a rules change during the summer break that makes Mercedes start every race 30 seconds behind. If that doesn’t work, we will just stop broadcasting races until 2020.”
However, Carey said he is still hopeful Mercedes can win both champions by Monza and he can convince them to take the rest of the year off.
