By now I am sure everyone has seen or heard about  this year’s Indy 500 and especially how qualifying went down. Now I am not going to toot my own horn about qualifying 30th and easily making the field ahead of Fernando Alonso, who did not even qualify, because that would be punching down. People might take it the wrong way and assume I am saying my talent is superior to his which would be ridiculous!

On the other hand I can not stop my loyal and passionate fans taking to social media to say it for me. Never once have I said I was on Alonso’s level, but Twitter user @parrotplanet343 did flatter me when he said Alonso is a dirty foreigner and was put in his place by not only being slower than me but not making the race at all. Take a look at what kind words Neil Langhorn left on Facebook for me by responding that not only am I ‘far and away the most fan friendly IndyCar driver in history but have more natural talent than Alonso’. These are just common fans expressing themselves, and I would never want anyone to think I condone these things, but thank you for the kind words all the same. If I were to list every comment from the internet that said I was better than Alonso, we would be here for hours, but that’s not who I am, and my fans adore me for my humility.

So just to reiterate, I would never in a million years want anyone to think that I, Pippa Mann, would want anyone to get the wrong impression and think I would ever imply I am superior to Fernando Alonso, but I can not make my fans stop saying so for me. Also, it would be in really bad taste for fans to ask me to sign Kimoa merchandise with disparaging remarks about the legendary talent Fernado Alonso who I beat in qualifying for the 2019 Indy 500.
