PARIS, France – After reading through NASCAR’s 2020 schedule changes that were announced on Tuesday afternoon, World Endurance Championship CEO Gerard Neveu slammed his hand on his desk and belted out a celebratory “Whoop! We’re justified! The Super Season is real!”
While most see the 2020 NASCAR schedule change as just another pointless, narrowly thought out idea, the WEC is more invigorated than ever to put half-assed ideas into their rulebook. Sources have confirmed the WEC and ACO are motivated to move forward with the idea of replacing the 24 Hours of Le Mans with back-to-back 12 Hour races on Saturday and Sunday at the famous French circuit.
