AUSTIN, Texas – In almost a decade of operation COTA has hosted races of nearly every kind from series across the globe even though no one can really remember any of them. On the way back to his car, one COTA season ticket holder was unnerved by yesterday’s IndyCar race, “For years now we have all assumed something like this could happen but until it does you are never really sure how you will handle it. For seven years I have been coming here for F1, MotoGP, and most of the sportscar races but usually it’s just for the food trucks or concerts. Some of the people seated near me wondered if IndyCar will be allowed back to have another exciting race. It could be too much for some of us.”

At the time of Alexander Rossi’s pass on Colton Herta, large numbers of fans were seen exiting after being overcome by actual on-track passes while others were already looking forward to Formula 1 returning and making everything right again where Hamilton poops on the field as usual.
