PARIS, France – After an 8 season run it was announced on Wednesday that the World Endurance Championship peacefully passed away in its sleep at its Paris condominium.  After a strong rise through the sportscar world, the WEC contracted Manufacturerosis in 2015, a disease that quickly kills off sportscar series when manufacturers start to control the basis of the series, causing costs to greatly rise, followed by a rapid decay of the feature classes.

The WEC is survived by its wife, ELMS, and only child, AsLMS.
