WASHINGTON DC – Refusing to be drawn into a war of words with President Trump, Stacey Abrams used her time Tuesday night to rebuke Trump and his comments on the IMSA prototype class and fear mongering over P2 cars. “Our most urgent work is to realize Dr. Don’s dreams of today and tomorrow,” Ms. Abrams said. “To carve a path to a healthy series that can last a lifetime.”

Abrams called for common ground and insisted Democrats will work with the President on BoP, but emphasized a caravan of P2 cars looking to win overall in IMSA does not exist. “Compassionate treatment at the border is not the same as a combined prototype class. President Reagan understood this. President Obama understood this. Americans understand this. And Democrats stand ready to effectively have a successful prototype class for 2019 and beyond.”
