NEW YORK, New York – The Times Square New Years Eve bash will be one for the ages as the famous Ball Drop will be replaced with the Nissan LMP1 drop, which ironically dropped the ball in nearly every way when the program was up and running.  Nissan Motorsports spokeswoman Maria Tomlin said, “We aren’t happy about it, but it is what it is.  Some private owner got his hands on a test car and they can do what they want with it at this point,” Tomlin continued, “After we disabled the Nissan LMP1 employee key cards and locked them out of the building the day before Christmas without warning, we thought everyone would just forget the car ever existed.  We guessed wrong.”

Tune into your local CBS, NBC, Fox or ABC affiliate at 12:00am ET to help celebrate the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019.
