SPRINGFIELD, Massachuesetts – Merriam-Webster updated their official dictionary today to recognize words or phrases that have become common in every day use. One of the words being added this year is “Hypercar,” which it officially defines as “fantasy, related to being a myth, thirsty,” to reflect the newly announced top-tier class for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The addition of new words to a dictionary is a step in the continuous process of recording our ever-expanding language,” said Merriam-Webster in a statement.
