NEW YORK, New York — While driving through Lower Manhattan, Chris Bishop told his rideshare passengers that he thought this job as a driver is the perfect proving grounds for him to practice as an IMSA driver for the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona. “It’s been a dream of mine to race on that historic course. I mean, here in New York, you have bikes which represent the slower GT Daytona cars, then you have those jerk taxis shoving their way in like they’re Gustavo Yacaman as DPi drivers. Me? All I want is a GTLM drive,” Bishop said to his frightened customers in the back.  He also said he applied for his FIA license, using on his experience “the one time I beat my cousin at Go Kart City, man, he was mad I put him in the wall like Dale, but you gotta do what you gotta do!”

Bishop was confident in his ability to get at least a Silver license, saying, “If podcasters and sons of guys who make floor mats can get a license, how hard can it be?”
