ABU DHABI, UAE – Fernando Alonso met with ACO officials prior to the Formula 1 season finale to announce a rebranding of the World Endurance Championship. The ACO, along with Alonso, has agreed to a new endurance championship moniker now to be known as Championship Racing Alonso Partnership. CRAP will include the already announced Super Season and the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans. “The racing landscape is more diverse than ever which in turn makes gaining fans and keeping them more of a challenge than ever so we hope sucking up to Fernando Alonso will bring more fans to CRAP,” said ACO president and CRAP president Francois Dubois. In a statement released through McLaren, Alonso was quoted as saying he is excited about CRAP and just wants May to get here already.
