WILLOWS , California – Rudolph Schultz has accepted a drive in the Thunderhill 25 hours,  piloting a Radical SR8 for Full Force Racing. “Honestly I never thought it would get this low. Willows California…Willows? Where even is Willows?” remarked the German. A former GP2 Pole sitter and Podium Finisher, Schultz appeared to be on the verge of F1 back in 2009, only to lose funding late in the season and miss his shot at an F1 ride. Shultz’s father, a German steel magnate, had pulled funding from his son following a messy divorce.

In the years since has come to America, Schult’z has only seen moderate success. After a fairly successful season in Indy Lights, Shultz made 3 Indycar Starts in 2011 for Rahal Letterman Lanigan. After failing to sign with an Indycar team for 2012, Schultz bounced around Grand-Am and The IMSA Weathertech Championship until 2018, highlighted by 2 Prototype Challenge wins in 2015. This season Schultz found himself without a ride until Full Force gave him a ring.

Schultz’s teammates for the 25 hour will include ARCA starlet Ashlee Franklin, 22, investment Banker George Santini, 63, and Sage Karam. About his excitement level for the event, Schultz said, “I mean seriously. A Radical in a California desert. I used to live in Monaco. I can’t believe it’s come to this.”
